During the political unrest in Moscow, Yury grapples with his own dilemmas when he is struck by a beautiful girl in a café, Lara, despite being promised to Tonya.
E2 • Episode 2
World War I begins and Yury is called to the Front. A chance encounter momentarily reunites him with Lara. Once back in Moscow, at the start of the Revolution, Yury becomes a surgeon and continues to contend with his personal drama.
E3 • Episode 3
Yury is captured by the Partisan. Lara tends to pregnant Tonya who is wholly unaware that she had an affair with Yury. As the complicated love triangle unfolds, the Revolution intensifies.
