To the vicar's dismay, Hyacinth volunteers to befriend a group of senior citizens on a day out. But she has taken on more than she can handle.

Hyacinth suddenly has a lot on her hands - attending the mayor's fancy dress ball and getting to know an important new neighbour.
E3 • Hyacinth Is Alarmed
Hyacinth is in a sunny disposition, which mystifies Richard. The real horror of his situation dawns on him when he realises that he has forgotten their anniversary.

While walking by an idyllic riverbank with Richard, Hyacinth conceives one of her most ambitious plans: to hold a riverside picnic as graceful as one of her candlelight suppers.
